The Southeast portion of the United States has a lot to offer the skier and snowboarder. Although southern temperatures make a shorter season, elevation helps promote a good healthy three to four month ski season. Shown below are all ski resorts found in the following states: Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The table below is sorted by Vertical Drop in feet of each ski resort. Vertical Drop is this the amount of elevation in feet from the bottom to the top of each ski resort. In most cases, a higher vertical drop means a steeper ski slope.
