The Southeast portion of the United States has a lot to offer the skier and snowboarder. Although southern temperatures make a shorter season, elevation helps promote a good healthy three to four month ski season. Shown below are all ski resorts found in the following states: Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The table below is sorted by the amount of skiable acres at each resort. Acreage should include the square area of groomed slope provided by each ski resort. The larger the acreage, the bigger the ski resort. Some resorts have double the skiable acres if you count trails not serviced by lifts.
