 Winterplace's winter sports season runs from December through the end of March, weather-permitting. Mogul fields, snowtubing and a terrain park for all ages. Snowboard-friendly with night skiing on 25 slopes and the terrain park until 10pm seven nights a week. Longest skiing day (8am - 10pm) of any ski area in the whole Southeast! Highest snowmaking capacity per acre in the Southeast as well. Two new quads were just added to make a total of 9 lifts. SKIWEE program for ages 4-11. Twenty-seven ski trails geared more towards the beginner and intermediate range:
Beginner - 41%, Intermediate - 44%, and Advanced - 15%.
Winterplace boasts the largest Snowtubing park in all of West Virginia, and for good reason... They've got 16 lanes of tube riding and a total of FIVE lifts to get you back up and tubin' right away.
