Atop Chewelah Peak, "49" offers a fantastic view of the surrounding region. Located on over 2000 acres of park inside Colville National Forest. Open year-round, the resort cators to the natural beauty of the area with a wide variety of recreation. An hour's drive north of Spokane, Washington. Snow terrain difficulty breaks down as follows: 30% beginner, 40% intermediate, 25% advanced, and 5% expert. 49's longest Run, the Lost Dutchman, weighs in at 2.5 miles. Plus ten miles of nordic trails spread across a north face peak and a northeast facing ridge, perfect for the sunrise jaunt across a desert of snow.
Last year 49 grabbed two brand new Pisten Bulley Groomers and went straight to work on the terrain park. Expect a crisp half-pipe too thanks to the Scorpion. The park is loaded with furniture from steel to snow. Perfect setting too, right in front of the lodge. Watching is almost as much fun as flying. A freestylers Mecca for snowboarders and skiers.
