 Blacktail is nestled inside 1000 acres of National Forest land. The resort's longest ski run is just under two miles on a north-faced mountain with cross-country skiing overlooking Flathead lake. Located fifteen miles west of Lakeside, Montana with a mostly intermediate offering of ski terrain. Terrain breakdown is as follows: 15% Beginner, 70% Intermediate, and 15% Expert. Great family place, kids 7 & under ski free. Senior discounts are also available. The triple story Lodge sits at the top of Bluetail central to all the lifts yielding some amazing views and perfect for child watching. Emmons Ridge is a local favorite and very social. Winter ski season runs December through Mid-April skiing on Wednesday through Sunday from 9:30am till 4:30pm. No night skiing, open Holidays and everyday of Christmas Season.
