Big Mountain Ski Resort caters to skiers and snowboarders and is one of the ten largest Winter Ski Resorts in America. Big Mountain hosts a brand new Superpipe and offers some impressive views of cloud dipped mountains and wildlife. Everything good about tree-skiing is here with impressive backdrops for your favorite conifers. Big Mountain names itself on the Hellfire run, at 3.3 miles long. Mountain ski terrain difficulty: Terrain Difficulty: 20% Beginner, 50% Intermediate, and 30% Advanced/Expert. Night skiing is a go on the Swiftcreek and Tenderfoot lifts. Hosting seven lit slopes offered Friday and Saturday nights mid December through mid March and nightly during the holidays. You can also enjoy dog-sledding at Big Mountain. I am happy to report that in October of 2005, bulldozers were seen making the spine of Big Mountain's new Superpipe! Five hundred phat feet long and 80 feet wide.
