 The Northern Idaho Rockies are home to Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort. The 2005 Winter season brings an additional 400 acres of ski terrain to Schweitzer Mountain. Over 32 km of cross-country ski terrain with a view of three states and two countries. Longest run is the Little Blue Ridge Run brand new in 2005 at 1.7 miles. Blue brings 400 new acres of powder to Schweitzer.
Known as the showcasing capitol for the sport of telemark skiing as frequent hosts to the USTSA Telemark Nationals. Schweitzer will be the home of the Telemark World Cup Finals in March of 2006. Three days of top athletes in the fields and general good time vibes and celebration for all.
