Loveland Ski Area was the first major ski area in Colorado to make snow in 1967. With an average of 400" of snow a year and 1365 acres of terrain, you can also sit atop the highest chairlift in the world. Open since 1936, it's where the locals love. Located 53 miles west of Denver, or 12 miles east of Silverthorne. Thier terrain park, Lovepark, is simply smashing. Tons of furniture steel and snow to jump, jib, twist and highwall. Loveland's longest run is 2 miles with stunning views the entire way. Ski terrain difficulty as follows: 13% Beginner, 41% Intermediate, and 46% Advanced. Loveland also offers a lift ticket guarantee no one else does. They pride themselves on their grooming and it shows in the corduroy. Surround yourself with 360 degrees of skiable terrain from the basin. Pick and choose from two mountain faces for one really good time. Sunchasing is a go at Loveland, bring your sun screen. Day skiing only till 4pm.
