 Arapahoe Basin, one of the year's earliest skiing opportunities is already
in gear for 2007-2008 Winter Ski Season. New for the 07/08 season -
Montezuma Bowl expansion. Arapahoe Basin terrain will increase by 80% -
predominately intermediate and advanced runs. A-Basin is a huge place to ski
with their longest run over a mile (1.5). Hosts two active freestyle terrain
park. Season typically runs from mid October through Mid to late June!
Over 60 years in the business, Winter 2006/07 was a jump start for Arapahoe
opening on Oct 13 2006. This is a full week earlier than last year and their
new snowmaking system had a lot to do with it. Also home to the Treeline
Terrain park, the highest terrain park in the nation and the longest running
park. The Treeline has promised to stay open until, get this, June 2008.
Talk about a long season, snowboarders and skiers are still trying to wrap
there toes around this one.
