Sugar Bowl
Sugar BowlWalt Disney founded this resort in 1939. It is known for its friendly staff and wonderful terrain. This year it is hosting the X-Games Qualifiers Jan 13-15 2005. Sugar Bowl is located in Donner Summit, CA and serves locals from San Francisco and Sacramento. 2005 Winter brings rennovations to the Mount Judah Lodge and a new high-speed quad list up on Christmas Tree run. Walt must have been a snowboarder because the terrain park is first-class at the Bowl. The Bowl hosts four seperate parks for skiiers/boarders. Golden Gate Park and Coldstream Terrain Park both feature several rails, jumps, and tabletops, as you'd expect. Nob Hill, for the greenies, has rollers, two small jumps and a mini spine perfect for first-timers. Also a 5 foot easy rail makes steppin up soo much easier, and safer. But the Superpipe is it's gold star. This sucker is huge and the grooming is first-class.
