 Located less than 20 miles from Lake Tahoe. Tahoe Donner Association manages two ski areas available to the public. The ski area serves day skiing while their cross country center caters to backcountry XC enthusiasts. Opened in 1970, Tahoe Donner's season starts in November. Donner is a full-season resort with a golf course, ski areas, and equestrian center in the Summer. Their cross-country nordic park stretches across 49 trails totaling 115 kilometers of lung-smiling fun. Three new trails were added in 2005, with a great view of Frog Lake cliffs. Two trails are dedicated to snowshoeing giving Donner 4 kilometers of park dedicated to snow shoes. Downhill skiing is also encouraged with a modest park that's well-maintained. Ski difficulty as follows: 40% novice, and 60% Intermediate. There is no night-skiing and the lifts close at 4pm. You can nordic at night on Wednesdays however. The ski lifts all crest on Eagle Rock, which is a great view. One terrain park can be found off "Ridge Run" just before "The Shoulder".

While we do have some snow at the highest elevations of our trail system, there's virtually nothing at the lodge. We're going to need at least 2 feet outside our door to start grooming, so keep your fingers crossed.
