 With a longest run Academy well over two miles, Sierra Summit resort is a big local favorite. Touching the Sierra National Forest at Huntington Lake, California 65 miles northeast of Fresno. Three freestyle parks and a half-pipe. Serving day riders 9am to 4pm daily. Terrain difficulty summary: Beginner 11%, Low Intermediate 28%, Intermediate 33%, and Advanced 28%. Special terrain includes: 3 Freestyle parks, and Halfpipe. The China Bowl is a big local favorite and a full service restaurant sites halfway up the mountain. Offer 180 degrees of mountain side to choose from with a spiraled ridge spine swooping through the middle of the park which yields some very interesting terrain not found at other resorts. A new lift was added for Winter 2005 and more trails too. Trail map is still under review but so far Summit offers 42 runs but eill probably grow once their snow pros finish sculpting. Day skiing only till 4pm so come early.
