Bear ValleySporting ten new trails for Winter 2005 located between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. Sporting a 300 foot long pipe and some of the most advanced rail terrain fences out there Bear Valley is perfect for terrain junkies. Expertly woven slopes with hand groomed trick ramps and rails. Located with permission in the Stanislaus National Forest. Bear's terrain breaks down as follows: 25% Beginner, 40% Intermediate, and 35% Advanced. The park is host to several Winter Jib contest and exhibitions with an active boarding community encouraged by the resort. Bear Valley dumps from a wide ridge top which has 67 runs from over four seperate mountain spines yielding a panoramic condition potential of 200 degrees. The Hari Kari run is the mountain's most challenging run, a double-black diamond. Most of the view from the slopes is unspoiled by man and provides a peaceful backdrop perfect for downhill.
