 Yuppers, since 1970 you can snowboard in the great state of Alabama. Cloudmont Ski Resort offers skiing from December 15th to March 15th, unless it melts sooner. Cloudmont is a year-round resort with slopeside Challets, night skiing, beginner lessons and small rental facilities. Cloudmont opens on weekdays 10 am to 4 pm and nightly from 6 pm to 10 pm Cloudmont doubles as Shady Grove Dude Ranch in the Summertime offering horseback riding and equestrian events. Cloudmont also has a golf course, Saddle Rock, offering 18 holes of golf. Offering on-slope chalet a-frame houses available for rent during the seasons but no pets are allowed. Cloudmont is certainly snowboard friendly too with the most advanced ski lift system in Alabama :) fittingly named pony rides. Afterall, it's a good place to horse around. Horses are not allowed on the ski lifts anymore sorry. There were some problems last year and the whole idea of "horses on skis" is currently under serious review by the management. But seriously, Cloudmont is a really fun place to ride.

Cloudmont Goes Solo this year -

Cloudmont is online and ready for the season. Tenders are already in place and the lifts are being checked as we speak. Cloudmont now carries the extra weight of recently fallen ski resort, Sky Valley in Georgia. We hope this season brings them tons of business and lots and lots of snow.
