The time is 8pm on Friday evening, the temperature is 30 degrees and its been an interesting last 3 hours as we received 3 of new snow since 5pm on Friday. On Saturday we will be skiing on 10 out of 14 slopes with five out of five lifts operating. Advanced Upper Omigosh and Intermediate Lower Omigosh serviced by the Omigosh Double Chairlift, Intermediate Rock Island Run, Advanced Alley Cat and Intermediate Lower Snowbird Trail serviced by the Rock Island Run Quad Chairlift, , Beginners Over Easy, Beginners Easy Way and Beginners Rabbit Hill serviced by the Easy Way Triple Chairlift, the Wolf Creek Hollow Ski School Area serviced by the Moving Carpet Conveyor Lift and Beginners Luck Learning Area serviced by the Moving Carpet Conveyor lift on a base of 40-60" and a machine worked surface.

On Saturday we will offer three sessions of skiing, day skiing from 8:30am until 4:30pm, twilight skiing from 1pm until 10pm and night skiing from 6pm until 10pm with a morning or afternoon half day rate also available.

Tube World located in Maggie Valley, across from Ghost Town four miles from the ski area will be open from 10am until 10pm with 1hour and 45 minute sessions available beginning at 10, 12, 2, 4, 6 and 8pm. Cost for tubing is $25 per session and you must be 42" tall to ride alone. There is no two person tubing allowed at Tube World. Please remember that tubing is on a first come first served basis and tubing sessions will sell out prior to the time the session begins. If the session you wish to tube is sold out, you may purchase a session for later in the day. Tube World will be closing for the season at the end of the 4pm tubing session on Sunday, March 2.

Also, dont forget that Monday, March 3 begins Cataloochees extended season operating hours and we will be open Monday through Friday from 1pm until 10pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30am  4:30pm through the rest of the season, that begins on Monday, March 3.

We remind you to be aware of changing ski conditions and use caution. Natural and manmade obstacles exist and snowmaking and grooming activities are routinely in progress. Please use control and ski or ride only on designated slopes and trails and please call this number anytime for current skiing conditions.

DO NOT use online map websites or GPS devices for directions. These services can direct you to roads that are impassable.
