And boy have we made a lot of snow here in the last 48 hours and because of that on Friday we will be skiing on 10 out of 14 slopes with five out of five lifts operating. Advanced Upper Omigosh and Intermediate Lower Omigosh serviced by the Omigosh Double Chairlift, Intermediate Rock Island Run, Advanced Alley Cat and Intermediate Lower Snowbird Trail serviced by the Rock Island Run Quad Chairlift, , Beginners Over Easy, Beginners Easy Way and Beginners Rabbit Hill serviced by the Easy Way Triple Chairlift, the Wolf Creek Hollow Ski School Area serviced by the Moving Carpet Conveyor Lift and Beginners Luck Learning Area serviced by the Moving Carpet Conveyor lift on a base of 40-60" and a machine worked surface. On Friday we will offer three sessions of skiing, day skiing from 9:00am until 4:30pm, twilight skiing from 1pm until 10pm and night skiing from 6pm until 10pm with a morning or afternoon half day rate also available. Also offered today is our Guaranteed Learn to Ski or Ride Package where first time skiers or riders age 8 and above may purchase a beginner lesson, beginners area lift ticket and ski rental equipment for only $39 or a beginner snowboard lesson, beginner area lift ticket and snowboard rental for only $55. And with our guarantee, you may repeat the lesson as often as you like during the same day session. Package lessons begin at 10, 12, 2 and 4pm and you must be here at least 30 minutes prior to the time the lesson begins to sign up. Tube World located in Maggie Valley, across from Ghost Town four miles from the ski area will be open from 4pm until 10pm with 1hour and 45 minute sessions available beginning at 4, 6 and 8pm. Cost for tubing is $25 per session and you must be 42" tall to ride alone. There is no two person tubing allowed at Tube World. Tube World will be closing for the season at the end of the 4pm tubing session on Sunday, March 2. Also, don''t forget that Monday, March 3 begins Cataloochee's extended season operating hours and we will be open Monday through Friday from 1pm until 10pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30am - 4:30pm through the rest of the season, that begins on Monday, March 3.
