Bogus Basin Opens for the 2007-2008 Season

We’re celebrating our official 65th Anniversary date in style! Bogus Basin officially opens for the season on Thursday, December 20th.

We’re opening 80% of the mountain for alpine skiers and boarders on Thursday from 10am – 4:30pm with chair lifts #1 /Deer Point; #2/Morning Star; #4/Showcase; #5/Bitterroot and #7/Coach & Easy Rider operating, and FREE lift tickets (see the next article). Pioneer Lodge and J. R. Simplot Lodge will be open with food and beverage service and locker access. The Ski and Snowboard School will also be open with programs and lessons. Night skiing opens on Friday, Dec. 21st (front side only for now). We’ll offer discounted lift tickets until the mountain is completely open. More than half of the Nordic trails are groomed and open, and the cross country trails and Frontier Point Nordic Lodge will be open 10am-4:30pm this week, too. Celebrating 65 Years with FREE Tickets

Bogus Basin opened on December 20th, 1942 and we’re celebrating our 65th Anniversary as a local ski and snowboarding area with FREE Lift tickets and nordic trail passes all day. Starting Friday, we’ll offer discounted lift tickets until the mountain is fully open.

Saturday, December 22nd we’ll have free cookies and hot chocolate out in front of Simplot Lodge, while they last!

FreeRide Series and Night Riders League – Join the fun!

Do you like to race gates? Ride rails? Go for air? HAVE FUN? Then check out the various teams, clubs and races that compete at Bogus Basin all winter. Bogus Basin's FreeRide Series kicks off with the Night Rail Jam on Friday, Dec. 28th. Register now for all four FreeRide series competitions.

Prefer speeding through a course? Then form a team with co-workers, friends and family members and register for the Night Riders Race League. Team registration deadline is January 4th and the midweek recreational races begin January 9th.
