 SUGAR MOUNTAIN, NC: – Sugar Mountain Resort in North Carolina opens for skiing and snowboarding at 9:00 am today, Wednesday, November 7, 2007. Today’s opening is two weeks earlier than last season and one of Sugar Mountain Resort’s earliest openings ever. Snowmaking began on Tuesday, November 6th at approximately 6:00 am on a clear, crisp, Carolina Blue, morning and hasn’t stopped since. A man-made powder surface covers Upper and Lower Flying Mile with the Yellow Lift in operation.
