 WE'RE READY! As Mother Nature quickly brings the temperatures down, and the clouds rapidly gather over the mountains signaling the impending snowfall, Sipapu is a hive of excitement. Trails have been prepped, lifts have been greased, all that remains is to look to the mountain and watch the gorgeous green environment turn into a frosty white paradise. The transition is already in progress. In fact we had a great snowstorm in late October and the Farmer's Almanac is forecasting a very snowy Winter. Favorable weather and our improved snowmaking will ensure that once again Sipapu will have the LONGEST ski season in New Mexico. That’s right, Sipapu is the first to open and last to close in New Mexico, and we’re very proud of that fact. What’s even more exciting is that we have just finished adding more trails to the mountain!!! More trails equals hours and hours of more fun! Boarders and Skiers alike will love the additions to the terrain parks. Also, back by popular demand, we are continuing with our FREE lodging program. Sipapu is scheduled to open on November 18, 2006, we know all you season pass holders can’t wait to start the longest season in New Mexico (see our website for days of operation).
