This year about 35 ski celebrities participated

including Olympic Gold Medalist Bill Johnson, US and French National Champion Marilyn Cochran Brown, World Cup Champion Bob Cochran and 18-time Cross-Country Champion Martha Rockwell, just to name a few. Also following in the Cochran tradition, thirteen-year-old Ryan Cochran-Siegle took 1st in the metal-fiberglass division beating out many of the old-timers.

The Open Slalom Race was on the Screaming Eagle,

to the old timers of Ascutney it was Main Slope once again. The racers had a chance to dust off their old equipment for one last run to glory in the Woodie and Metal-Fiberglass competitions. The race course was complete with the once common yellow bamboo slalom poles. Some spectacular falls and some on wooden skis without edges provided much entertainment and provoked many fond memories.
