 Ski Beech Reviews...
Maaannn, i wish Beech Mountain would open. It's like torture. Twice i've driven to the slopes just to make sure it was still there. Beech has had problems keeping a web camera operational. Also, they do not update their site as much as i wish they did. I am a huge fan of that mountain and i want it open, open, open, open! I read today there is talk of maybe opening a run or two this Friday, but that is pure speculation. I know the weather is not their fault. But boy i wish they could open as quick as Sugar usually does. Beech Mtn's higher elevation you would think would contribute to a nice early season. But it rarely is the story. There wide sunshine-drenched slopes must be hard to keep snow on the ground. Also, a lack of some important tree cover in some areas tends to let the snow fall of into the valley floor.
This will be my third year skiing on a value pass at Beech Mtn. A wonderful deal truly, even if they don't open for another week-or-so. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Please open Beech Mountain, my snowboard is hungry.
